IE Reconstruction and Monitoring

This page is intended to show the current status of the IE detector system. This information comes from a reconstruction of about 50,000 events from every fifth run. It is not actually part of RECON96.

See below for a table explaining the various plots.

MG1 Fraction:
The hadronic fraction is RECON96's QUAL2 with Z cut. The MG1 fraction is the fraction of MG2 triggers which are also MG1 triggers.
Energy Deposition:
Each reconstructed cluster is weighted by its energy and the result is plotted as a color contour plot. Center region only.
Energy Deposition:
Each reconstructed cluster is weighted by its energy and the result is plotted as a color contour plot. Center region is removed.
IE2 Latches:
Latch 1 is the trigger itself and 2-7 are for the indvidiual sextants.
Number of clusters:
The total number of clusters reconstructed for each event.
Number of clusters:
The total number of blocks hit for each event. Both for all blocks and for blocks over 50 MeV.
X & Y residual:
X and Y distance from each charged track to the nearest cluster in the IE
E/p:
The energy of a cluster divided by the momentum of the matching track.
Pi Zero Mass:
The invariant mass plot of two photon events. Constructed from all combinations of clusters consistent with neutral showers.
